To reward important achievements by Swedish AI researchers, SAIS will select a few outstanding papers to be presented at the yearly workshop in a special SAIS Best AI Papers Track. The purpose is both to acknowledge important research and to present high quality papers to the Swedish AI community.
The winner or winners will be awarded an invitation to present their papers at the SAIS workshop 2009 in Linköping free of charge for the presenters. Each author will receive an award certificate from SAIS and the paper will be presented on the SAIS webpage.
To nominate a paper for the award, the following rules apply:
Each nomination should include a PDF copy of the paper (or a link to the paper), the title and authors of the paper, the affiliation(s) of the Swedish authors, the publication where the paper was published and a short motivation why this paper is an outstanding and important contribution to AI that deserves to be presented at the SAIS workshop. The motivation should be written in a form that can be used to announce the winner.
The SAIS board will review the nominated papers and determine a winner based on factors such as scientific value, impact and relevance to artificial intelligence. The decision by the SAIS board will be final. The selected winners will be announced in time for the next SAIS workshop, which will be held May 27-28 2009 in Linköping.
Since the evaluation process and the decision criteria was not specified well enough the SAIS board has decided not to give out any prize this year. The board will review and improve the evaluation process for coming years.
