Master's Thesis: Decision Support Systems and Diagnosing Cognitive Disorders Author: Helena Lindgren
In this thesis the author presents a prototype system as a tool for clinical decision support in the domain of cognitive diseases. The amount of patients is increasing while the number of patients that the general practitioner (GP) meets in primary care still is too low to make the GP well trained in diagnostics and management of patients in the area of cognitive diseases. In addition, new treatment strategies are established in clinical routine directed towards cognitive deficiencies with behavioural and psychological symptoms in the presence of dementia (BPSD).
