Martin Magnusson completed an exjob related to TALPlanner, a logic-based domain dependent planner. He extended it in a variety of ways and also encoded specific benchmarks used in last years International Planning Competition (IPC2002). Due to the superb nature of the extensions and domain encodings TALplanner did extraordinarily well in the competition. Again exhibiting some of the best performance in terms of speed for many of the benchmarks.
The exjob content focuses on one of the hottest approaches to AI planning today and Martin's exjob results have the novelty of being part of an entry into an international competition. In addition to this, Martin also developed a graphical interface which makes it easier to develop TALplanner and to visualize many of the standard benchmark domains still used in competitions.
