The Nomination for Signature-based activity detection based on Bayesian networks acquired from expert knowledge by Farzad Fooladvandi

Farzad has been very self-going throughout this project. He has put a large amount of work into the project, and in my view, the result is a very good Master's thesis. I think that Farzads' thesis is of great interest for the AI community, since it focuses on knowledge elicitation from experts, and that the resulting probabilistic model is applied for detecting interesting real-world maritime activities.

Farzad Fooladvandi successfully defended his Master's thesis on May 23rd, 2008.
